We offer an affordable alternative to traditional conference centres. Value for money, being fairly managed and excellent quality aren’t just statements, they are truly at the core of our existence.
Our Hospitality Academy:
Our Carlisle Conference Centre is unique, it is hosted by our Hospitality Academy learners who have learning difficulties. We provide valuable training and work experience to enable people to gain the skills needed for their professional development.

Situated close to Carlisle railway station and plenty of parking close-by, The People First Conference Centre is very accessible and is set on the bank of the River Caldew which offers a relaxed setting with the impressive backdrop of Carlisle Cathedral and Carlisle Castle.

About our rooms:
We boasts a modern, comfortable Conference Room which seats up to 150 people. The latest technology has been used to ensure delegates get a superb audio, visual experience. This is a room suitable for most events and offers total flexibility for your event, whether it be a conference, exhibition or celebratory event; the Conference Room is sure to impress your guests.

Seven more rooms for your use, from smaller, cosy and informal rooms for three to four people, to larger rooms accommodating between ten to twenty-eight people.
With such great flexibility of our spaces, we are able to offer a truly unique experience for your guests.
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner:
Like an army, a meeting often marches on its stomach. Take plenty of breaks and walk around our grounds and indulge in the healthy (and maybe some not so) refreshments.
We will be offering visitors our warm ‘People First Welcome’ offering fresh coffee and tea in our spacious lounge. The dedicated team of experienced hospitality professionals and learners wish to offer a professional, yet personal service which will put you at ease and ensure your day runs smoothly.
