Business Development Manager (Full Time)

 

Hours: Full Time (37 ½ hours per week)

Location: Based in Carlisle with travel around Cumbria and  Lancashire

Salary: £27,500 – £35,000 per annum

To work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to lead the development of new and creative solutions which address the needs of our customers. Seeking opportunities to grow our business in line with our business strategy and ongoing support of our social enterprises.

To lead the overall development of People First as part of the Senior Leadership Team, researching opportunities for funding, tenders, partnership working, and internal developments in line with the ambitions and objectives of the Strategic Plan.

Lead the initial implementation of successful bids/tenders, through the development of an effective implementation plan. Identifying required resources to support effective delivery. Supporting the project plan – and effectively handing over to delivery team.

To provide regular written and verbal reports to the Board on all areas of work.

Our ideal candidate:

You will be a dynamic and confident individual, confident professional, with excellent organisational, collaboration and writing skills. The role suits a people person, with experience in finance and tendering.

People First Independent Advocacy has been supporting people in Cumbria for over 25 years. We now provide a wide range of support and information services aimed at helping people to live informed, respected, healthy and fulfilled lives.

Our organisation is user-led meaning that our customers are at the heart of all decision making. People First is a person-centred organisation, we care deeply about the rights of each and every customer that we support.

We have teams of staff based in Carlisle, Barrow and Workington, all working from our Best Life Buildings. We are also working in the North East Region and Liverpool.
