 People First Independent Advocacy has been supporting people in Cumbria for over 25 years. We now provide a wide range of support and information services aimed at helping people to live informed, respected, healthy and fulfilled lives across Cumbria and Lancashire.

Our organisation is user-led meaning that our customers are at the heart of all decision making. People First is a person-centred organisation, we care deeply about the rights of each and every customer that we support.

We have teams of staff based in Carlisle, Barrow, Workington and Leyland all working from our Best Life Buildings. We are also working in the North East Region and Liverpool.

Independent Advocate

Barrow

16 – 18 Hours per week

An opportunity has arisen for an Independent Advocate to join our team delivering Advocacy in Cumbria. We are seeking a candidate who is able to work alongside a range of people, supporting them to understand information, navigate processes and have their rights and choices respected. The candidate will be highly motivated with excellent communication skills and knowledge of health and social care.   People First offer flexible working arrangements and enhanced benefits.

Graphic Designer

Carlisle

15 Hours per week (2 days)

£27,500 pro-rata

An opportunity has arisen for a talented in-house graphic designer to join our charitable organisation at an exciting time of growth and development. Our ideal candidate will have a creative flair and a proactive attitude. You will be responsible for designing across a variety of media as well as developing the brand and corporate identity.

The successful candidate will be a key part of the creative team and must be comfortable taking the initiative with regard to design and innovation.
