I am the Fundraising Officer for People First Independent Advocacy. I first joined People First in May 2014 as Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive and Executive Team and have now undertaken the role of Fundraising Officer; supporting the Business Development manager in the development and delivery of an innovative fundraising strategy.
I am responsible as part of the Business Development Team in meeting the objectives of the business strategy and for ensuring creative ideas are turned into well designed funded deliverable projects that support people in communities to lead fulfilling lives and good health.
My role includes:
Supporting the Business Development Manager in the development and delivery of a robust and creative fundraising strategy.
Providing support to the Business Development Manager in turning innovation and ideas into deliverable projects.
Horizon scanning, ensuring awareness of opportunities for funding at both local and national level.
Assisting in the development and creation of high quality funding proposals, bids, applications and tenders in line with business strategy.
Ensuring that all reporting requirements are met and reported in line with funding criteria.
Maintaining accurate records of funding, projects, ideas, finance, customer relationships and management.
Supporting entrepreneurial endeavours, helping to build upon income generating capability and exploring options for commercial and corporate partnerships.
Building relationships with funding bodies/organisations, developing partnerships and liaising closely with relevant departmental staff.
